Whatever we've always talked about, it's like this is, you know, something we do for fun and, you know, we didn't have anything to talk about. We haven't been into parks in a while. I don't feel like there's been any news. But we're also not a news podcast. We're not a news podcast like. Here's the top things that

00:00:49happened to the park system. No, but there have been times where something happened and we we talk about it not like a, these are the top news items in Disney news, but like, not that there's anything wrong with that. That's just not our thing. But there wasn't even anything that happened where we were like, Oh my gosh, I like wanted to talk about it. Yeah, the last big thing, it was Bluey. I mean, the next big thing, Bluey, the thing that just happened this week was Star Wars. So I'll get into that. Oh, will a little bit. Oh, will you? That was last week. Or was it 20?

00:01:1826 it was this past week. Oh, I guess I was. And so, yeah, so we're back. We're back. And you guys should have been in the room setting up this podcast. It was full on chaos, it was. Not not because of me. Those who were streaming us live on TikTok saw the whole thing. They they witnessed the the the you. Knocking things over and. Just moving my chair into the room and I knocked over my drink. Egg went everywhere so I had to go run and grab some paper towels. Ruined all my TikTok shop things. I did. I'm sorry.

00:02:01And so it probably smells like soda in here. Now what? What is soda smell like I. Don't know it smells like Doctor Pepper or. Something soda all right. And so and then just trying to get the stuff going and I was just already flustered. And I will try next time we record a podcast in three months. I will try to have my desk clear. I actually have some. I don't think it's not your desk, it's just the setup in this room is not great. I know. We there's not enough, there's not enough space. There's not enough space from us and the camera because we're

00:02:43your, your desk is up against the wall and right behind us is a bed, right? And so there's not enough room. So that's I. Could I could play around with some some ideas in here? I mean, it's really it's it's a guest room that I have now taken over as AII Feel weird saying office, but basically, yeah. So I could I could play around with some things. It's not like we ever have guests so. Then we're. Going to do lots of guests. I know we actually, we actually will have some this summer. So I have to do, yeah. News to me. You just forgot anyways, so do you wanna? Do you wanna talk about what you

00:03:24wanted to talk about first? And then we'll get into our our little game? Yeah, yeah. I mean, it was just the we talked about a couple months ago when they announced that the the original trilogy timeline is coming to Galaxy's Edge. So Darth Vader is replacing Kylo Ren walking around in the parks. They're adding Luke Skywalker, Han, Leia in addition to Mando, Ahsoka and Boba Fett and Rey who are already there. And then Kylo Ren has been moved to a meet and greet in Tomorrowland. I thought he was gone. No, he's still there, because that's where Darth Vader was. I don't like. Darth Vader had a meet and greet in Tomorrowland.

00:04:08Oh, but in inside the where the the don't tell me, don't tell me, don't tell me, don't tell me. Launch Bay used to be yes in there. So it's not like I have to. See him? You have to be a like a Visa card member to be able to go in there. And so that's where Darth Vader was. And now they moved Kylo Ren in there. Fine, I don't like Kylo Ren. He got, he got put in the corner. He needs time out. Yeah, so, so, yeah, so that launched last week with the first Star Wars night, which was on the 29th. Nice.

00:04:45And, and so original trilogy characters are there now. Some of the some of the shops and the places have been updated with original trilogy like artifacts, like some of the theming has been changed to fix that that timeline. And oh, the big thing is now music plays. Star Wars music composed by John Williams just plays throughout the entire park instead of just like the OR the land instead of just like the ambience that it was, which was like just like the sound effects and you hear like the the animals chirping and like the Starship sound effects going overhead and all that kind of stuff nowadays play music all over so. Yeah, which I think I like that. I don't know, I, I kind of go

00:05:38back and forth. I like the immersiveness of like feeling like you're in Star Wars, but like Avengers Campus is cool because it's playing all the music for the Marvel movies. But sometimes I feel like it's too much. It's like, is it going to be too much? Like, you know, like too much going on, but you know, guess we'll have to wait and see. We shall see. I will say that we saw a picture of Luke, Leia and Han and I thought the Han was was pretty good. I mean, no one is ever going to be as good as Harrison Ford, right? Like you can't even don't even try. Leia wasn't great and I did not

00:06:14like the Luke. I I know that they're going for episode 6, but his hair was too dark. His hair was too dark. Even in Episode 6, his hair isn't that dark. It's like it's a wig. You guys, you can't do better. It's not like they're like, well, this guy has dark hair. No, he's wearing a wig. So like, make the wig look better, you know? Just do it. Chewy looked good. Yeah, they did it really well. Still there, So Chewy's there there so you can go get your Wookiee hug. Yeah, but we'll see. We're we'll see if we get to well, we will see them 'cause they're not temporary, but.

00:06:54Hyperspace mountains back. Hyperspace Mountain. I know we're really. The the best. It's so good. It's probably I don't want to say it's my favorite. It's pretty much your favorite band. But it's like my favorite Star Wars ride. Like it's almost above. Well, because Space Mountain is your like Space Mountain has always been your top. It got pushed out by Ryze for a little bit and then kind of came back, and then Cosmic Rewind kind of took over everything for you. But Space Mountain has been your favorite since I started taking you. Yeah.

00:07:32And so then you add Star Wars in there, which is your favorite? Yeah, like. I say Hyperspace Mountain is probably the best Star Wars ride. Yes, I'm saying better than Rise of the Resistance. It is fantastic. It is, it is so much fun. I mean, the storytelling, the rise of the resistance is so oh. The. Technology and and all that, but but yeah, hyperspace mountain is. Like the giddy feeling that you get at the. End. And he does mean giddy, I get. So giddy on that ride. He he really does. He really does. He gets very happy.

00:08:07You know what get cozy with Lexi Mount Everest doesn't get? Enough. It is fantastic. It's with a caveat though, it has to be ridden Rd. Ridden Rd. Ridden. Road ridden needs to be ridden at night. It's a million times better at night than it is during the day. You've never been on it at night, Mount Everest. What are you thinking? I'm thinking. I'm thinking, I'm thinking Matterhorn. Yeah, I'm thinking Matterhorn. Matterhorn. What in the world are you talking about? Because Animal Kingdom closes early.

00:08:45That's right, you can't ride Everest. I wonder, 'cause we usually we have always been in the winter, but still we were only there one time when it was open late enough to be dark and Everest was closed. Our very first trip, Everest, was closed for refurbishment. Everest is really. Good. It's so good. It is really good. My R our youngest son, we have just an excellent video of him on Everest for the first time just screaming with pure joy. He was also. Sick. He was also sick. We're gonna get hateful comments for that for. That we didn't he he was getting

00:09:22over a cold. But then after that it hit somewhere else. After that, right after. It was actually right after. That it was right after that, right, Because you guys, you took him back to the hotel, He needed to go back to the hotel and I took the other kids on the safari. But anyways. But yeah. So yeah. OK, but see, but now that you say that, I'm like, Oh my gosh, we need to try to get to, we need to look at the schedule and see whatever days Animal Kingdom is open late enough for it to be somewhat dark and see if Everest is still open because Everest at night. That would be.

00:09:59Crazy would be awesome. I don't. I feel like animal Kingdom doesn't stay open past 6. I it was just that one when we were there for the 50th they did and they had the like light show on the tree of life. But I don't think that's a regular thing. I don't think that matter what. So Star Wars Galaxy's Edge new timeline? Cool. Cool, cool, cool space mountain. OK, Now something today in Magic Kingdom going across across the the country here for worlders or for Landers, I guess. But we're talking about worlders in Magic Kingdom. Big Thunder Mountain reopened today after a year and a half of being closed for refurbishment. Yes, it did. And I just. Did I hear?

00:12:05Yes, you heard. What I think I just heard. I'll have to look into it, Michelle. I'll have to look into my settings. Let me look. So as we were, we were in here talking and OK fixed it. TikTok be crazy as. What so we're talking about big time. OK so in my life before we started the podcast, some of our world Disney World friends that are streamers came in Mr. Bluff. If you are on TikTok, check out Mr. Bluff that yeah, it caught on fire this evening, but I think someone else said it too. I'm sorry, I can't remember who, but on the tracks, the tracks caught yeah, it just opened today.

00:13:02I saw the highest wait time I saw because yes, I was checking was 85 minutes and yeah, the tracks caught on fire. But it it obviously wasn't too bad because when I looked and it was open like at at closing it was open. So the the wait time was like 35 minutes towards closing, but they said it had just reopened. But yeah, I. Want to make made it catch fire? It was 2 hours this morning. Yeah, I saw it. Yeah. So that's 120. Yeah. So I saw it. I by the time I looked at the wait time, it was already probably around noon there in Florida and it was 85 minutes. But yeah, something on the

00:13:42tracks on the breaks or whatever, but but yeah, apparently wasn't wasn't a bad enough to close for the rest of the day, but. How bad sad would that be? They just. Opened today that they catch this. Fire. After a year and a half, wow, Like I don't has any ride ever been closed? Like that's a long time to be closed. And Mr. Bluff said he said it was really smooth, but I don't think any, I don't know what else was added, like if there was anything else added to it. Like a new cave and some new elements. That's right, he said. The Cave was awesome.

00:14:21The Cave which I'm like, did we not have? It Rainbow Caverns. I don't. I've only been on it in world once, I think our very first trip, so I don't quite remember. I remember it being a little different and being like, like I say, they oh, they rebuilt. Our friend Michelle was telling us they rebuilt the entire track. Wow. What I I only remember is it was my first ride in Disney World and I was surprised. I didn't know yet that the rides that are in both in land and world are sometimes different. And I was like, that was different. And it wasn't as fun. And I was like, oh, OK.

00:15:04Like which one are you talking about? Big Thunder. And then that just led to the rest of the day being like, what the heck is Space Mountain here? And or not, what the heck is it? I knew what it was. It was Matterhorn. And like, 'cause I, you know, I'll say and I love World. I feel like I can say this now that I do love Disney World that any ride that is in both if they're different cause like Mickey and Minnie's is the same in both but like if they're different it is better in land. Not always the queue. Sometimes the queue is better in world, but the ride itself is better in land. Yes, it is. It's just, it's just, it's just

00:15:37true. And I'm not the only one I've heard say this. Yeah, no, I hear that from a lot of people. I've heard it from you too. No but I've heard it from people that come into my live on on Tiktok that say the same thing. But anyways, I'm glad for our world friends that it is open 'cause it's still, I mean, it's, it's a good ride. It's a fun ride, you know, classic good fun ride. So I'm glad it's open 'cause it's a long time for it to be closed. Yeah. And that was a little news from that, but. So we get into our into our deal. OK.

00:16:09So you guys know if you have listened to our podcast for any amount of time, we're big fans of the Disney World is Awesome podcast. They inspired us in fact, to start a podcast and they are the ones that the boys and I would binge listen to before our first trip to World. We have sense. Oh, that's right. They lowered the height limit in in Big Thunder Mountain and Magic Kingdom. They lowered it, which is kind of crazy. Yeah, I wonder how they did that. Like why? They're like, they're fine, they'll be fine, it's fine. Or like, is it that? Because that makes me think less

00:16:49intense if it was intense to begin with? Yeah, or maybe the restraints are better and so they can have. Shorter, I'll try to take this from you, but it's not giving me the filter. I'm sorry babe, it just really wants to give you those pretty lashes. So Disney World is awesome. OK, so Disney World is awesome podcast and then we have since you know, we have had TJ on our podcast a few times, a few times. We met up with him in world a couple years ago and then he's been on our podcast. He was recently on our podcast when we hit our For Your Mark of doing the podcast. They just hit their 300th episode.

To say that that might have to be it because it is really amazing. Flight of Passage is amazing. I, I mean, if it wasn't Flight of Passage, I'd probably say unless I think of something else, Peter Pan, I love, I love the book, I love the movie, I love Hook. I love like just Peter Pan in general. But yeah, I think I have to say Flight of Passage because even though I've only seen Avatar once in the theater 16 years ago, the first time we wrote it, I cried. I didn't cry cry, but I tear. I had like tears and I was like, what? Skylander. Oh, the gondolas that used to go through Matterhorn. You don't fly in the cars, Jamie. But yeah, I think I have to say Flight of Passage just because

00:33:55it is so incredible. Other than that, it would be Disneyland's Peter Pan I It's short, the long, the wait is long, but it's just so pretty. And I love Peter Pan so much. Cool, my turn.
