00:00:04Welcome to this happy place. Welcome. Hey guys, it's Tim. And welcome to episode 123 of The Dreaming of Disney Podcasts with my beautiful wife, Audrey Anne. Say hello. Hello awkward. Actually, you know you've been home for a week. A week from your solo Disney trip hanging out. Second one, the mouse. That's what I did. Yeah, that's. What I did? Well, thanks for listening and we hope that you. That's all I did. That's all I did. Yeah. It was my second solo trip ever. Yeah.
00:01:09Leading up to this one, like the day before, I was like not feeling it. And you asked me why I just, I didn't really feel like going alone or the first time I went alone. It was like this one was more for content, not more. It was it was for content or the when I went the first time alone, it was to give me some alone time. Like I needed a break from the billions of children. And it was like, I want to try this. I want to try to do a solo trip and just have some time to myself. Sorry, the way the song came in, I know podcast people you can't hear it, but he played a song from Wish and the line right
00:01:54after I said that was just kind of funny. I'm finding everything. Funny, I just put it on a shuffle. And I'm just, I'm finding everything funny tonight. I don't know why, but yeah, this time I just. I don't know. I wanted you to come. I almost took one of our kids last minute, but I knew they'd fight over which one. So yeah, I don't know. I don't know, but it was good. It was. I really didn't do much. At Pixar Place for. The first time you. Haven't stayed there yet. Well, well, we did. Well, we we've stayed at, we stayed at Paradise.
00:02:35Paradise Pier a lot. You and I stayed there in the middle of the remodel. I think they had already put the Pixar place up on the side, but the rooms weren't done. No, they were still paradise. They were still Paradise pier. The lobby was pretty much done in Pixar, but the rooms weren't done. But it's I really like it. Like I sent you video and I'll I'll make a post about it, but eventually the whole pool area like they because it used to just be the pool. I think when it was California paradise, paradise pier, it was just a pool, right? I don't remember like a sitting area of any kind where now they have like they have like shuffleboard.
00:03:17They have like chess tables. They have fire pits everywhere and the fire pits. I don't know if I showed you like one of them looks like anger. Another one looks like Ember from. Elemental. Elemental and then they have like another like big fire pit. They have like a restaurant down there. And all of that is kind of separate from the pool. Like the pool is like up a little higher. So it's not like you're like right by the pool, but it's nice. We have a friend on TikTok because again, podcast friends, we are live on TikTok. Our friend Aaron is staying at
00:03:56Pixar Place in August. You'll enjoy it. It was really nice. The only thing is I will give this tip, and this was a tip before it was Pixar, when it was just Paradise Pier. They only have, well, technically there's four elevators, but they are all on the same. Like row, they're like. The same row, you know, they're right next to each other and they were the only elevators in the building, at least for guests. They have some, some like cast member elevators that they use during the remodel. But you, you know that. OK, let's talk about this for a second, because if you've never stayed at Paradise Pier or now
00:04:41Pixar Place, if you have, then you obviously know how horrible, how horrible the elevators. Are the elevators are horrible? For some reason you mean they have 4 elevators, but when you think about like say Disneyland Hotel, they also have 4 elevators in each tower. They have two in the front and then if you walk farther down there's another 2. Well, that's because that's because I need my hands. They're on 2 separate thank you. They have they're on 2 separate ends of the hallway. So you have, you know, the every single guest going to that one elevator where, you know, half of the half of this row or half of, you know, in this floor, they're going to go down to the elevator on the right.
00:05:37This one's going to go down. You know, the other half's going to go on the left where in Pixar Place they're all going to the same 4. It has gotten a little better because they have these screens there. OK, yeah. Where it asks you what floor you're going to and you hit the number and it tells you which elevator to go to. That's right, because it it didn't used to have that. And so you would have to, you know, you'd be trying to go down and you'd get on and they're all going up and you have to write all the way up. Someone told us once like go up and then go all the way down. But anyways, if you're getting like if you're trying to rope
00:06:10drop which, or early entry, which RIP early entry, you, you just, you either have to kind of like with rush hour traffic, you have to either go early or later. Like if you're going at like peak time when everyone's trying to leave in the parks you are going to, it's going to take you a long time to get on the elevator. So like the, I did have to wait for a while because I, I went back like I went to the park before my room was ready, went back for a little bit to just, you know, get into my room and I'd like laid down for a little bit before I went back in at night. And it took me a while to get an elevator that time when I was leaving the park or leaving for
00:06:56the parks. But the next morning I was actually ready kind of early. And so I was like, first I was like, oh, maybe I'll just like, you know, relax for a bit. And I was like Nope. No. I need to get out before everyone is trying to get on these elevators and so I I didn't have a problem. I also there are yes, spunky red on TikTok says take the stairs. Tim has done that before when we stay there. But depending on where you're staying, you know, you could be on like the 10th floor. The problem with the stairs is once you leave you can't get back in on the stairs. You have to go all the way down. If you want to go up, then you
00:07:39have to take the elevator. You can only take the stairs out because the door locks behind you and you can't use your key to get in. So that's the only problem with this using the stairs. But but yeah, so first time Sam picks our place. You liked it? Sorry, I had to take care of something. OK, I got it. Laura Lee yes, I really liked it. And I think the, I think the kids are really 'cause we're staying there in February and I think the kids are really going to like, like the pool area. And I could hear, 'cause they have a slide and you can and they have a big old crush on the top and you can hear him going
00:08:28righteous, righteous. But yeah, the whole outdoor area, it reminded me of resorts. Hang on, you're going to need to podcast stop. Yeah, Laura Lee. I was thinking about it for a while and I was kind of waiting it out. Oh yeah, what was that person saying? Oh, you can't talk about it. OK, can't talk about it. We'll we'll, I'll get the tea from from you later. Yeah. So they could still be in. OK, sorry, TikTok business. OK, OK, sorry guys. You met Uncle Jesse at the wait what? How's it going, Tim? Christopher says how it's going. You met Uncle Jesse at the far
00:09:29end near Trader Sam's. Oh, at Disneyland Hotel. That's our favorite and that's where we stay. Sure. I almost knocked over my table. OK, I'm ready. Go. Ahead. Yes, I think the kids are really going to like it. It reminded me of some of the things we've seen at on Disney World resorts, like just the way they have more things to do. Like at the actual resort we're like Disneyland Hotel has the pool and everything, but they don't have any areas with like games and stuff, right? No, not really. They don't. They have the pool, but there's no like activity.
00:10:18And this has like, I mean, I sent you the video like it has like a bunch of area, you know, a bunch of things to do out there. So I thought that was really cool. Also, when I went out there, the sun was setting and you get a really pretty sunset if there's a pretty sunset that night. So there's that. Because it's on the roof at Pixar Pier, Pixar Place. The pool is on the 3rd floor, like the rooftop deck on the 3rd floor. So you're up a little higher. So, so, yeah, so I really liked it. I, I can't talk about my favorite part of it because they're getting rid of it, but I can talk about the fact that I
00:10:53wrote or I did early entry, walked across the street towards Grand Californian, went in the side gate and there was, I got there. Let's see what time did I get there? Hang on, I do not want to be in that album with all of my recipes. Nope, that's not what we're talking about tonight. We're not talking about recipes. We're talking about Disney. Disney Parks because that's the name of our podcast Dreaming Of. Disney OK, OK, so I took video OK, so I was walking there at seven O 1 seven O 3. I was walking into the gate and this Oh, OK. I didn't get a picture of how long the line was. I wanted to get a picture of how
00:11:48many people were behind me. You. Had one job. But I didn't want to just take a picture of people and be like, look at there we I was farther back than we've ever been. Oh yeah, in that. In that line. In that line, oh, wow. And then it backed up and I'm like, people don't use this, huh? Because I think people use early entry. No, they do, they do. They're just they're there's going to be a plan to make it like a additional add on. I just know it. I get that. I could see them doing that at Disney World. And because there are so many,
00:12:21it it it kind of was is odd to me at Disney World, honestly, because there's 30 something on site hotels. Yeah, our friend on TikTok Main St. Voyager told us the other day. There's like over 30,000 hotel rooms. That's crazy. On property. That's crazy. And you get early entry if you're on property. So it's not most people get early entry. Most people are staying on property where in Disneyland there's only three. So to me it, I could see Disney World making it like for deluxe only kind of like how they have deluxe hours, but trying to get more people to stay at deluxe
00:13:09cause a lot of people are staying at, you know, at on property. Hey, let's get more people to stay in deluxe 'cause they make more money and you get early entry. If you're deluxe Disneyland, there's not as many people. They even said there's not as many people staying at the on property resorts. So let's take away the biggest perk of staying on property. It doesn't make any sense. Make it make sense guys. Make it make sense. Make it make sense. I'm and so I, I used it and I was like, this is I was sad. I was sad and like walking. So when in that entrance, you come out by a Goofy sky school and you know, there's just like
00:13:48empty. I mean, other than all the people like coming through the gate, but like the park isn't even like running yet. It's a really cool entrance and it's a great entrance to exit, great exit at night, especially like with the kids. We loved that because when we stayed there, it's like right across the street from the hotel instead of having to walk from the front through the front of the hotel all the way through Downtown Disney. So it was a great exit, like at night, I just so they're getting rid of the entrance and the exit and early entry and I just, I really don't get it. But anyways, that was the second day. Over on TikTok, Spunky Red asks
00:14:30if the Disneyland Resort hotels are close to the parks. Yes, yes. So the closest is Grand California Hotel because it is connected to California Adventure. So there is an entrance that drops you right off into the park. The other entrance drops you off in Downtown Disney, which unlike Disney World, Downtown Disney is like connected. It's like you've got Disneyland here. I'm doing hand motions on for my podcast friends. You've got like the two parks here and then like in the middle of them almost is Downtown Disney like it's you don't have to take transportation to Downtown Disney like you do for
00:15:14Disney Springs. So that's the closest. Then I would say Pixar Pier and Pixar Place and Disneyland Hotel I would say are kind of equal distance to the parks. Disneyland Hotel once you go through security, you're in Downtown Disney and you can get on the, there's a monorail stop right there. So you can get on the monorail and get into Disneyland or you can walk through Downtown Disney and go through like the main gate and Pixar Place. I mean it's like a, it was like a 3 minute walk from Pixar Place to get into California Adventure. But that is an exit or an entrance that they are closing normally from Pixar Place to the main gate I'd say is like a
00:16:09what, 710 minute walk? Yeah, that sounds. About right. One time I ran it in 4 minutes to try to find a toy that my daughter lost that we think was stolen off of our stroller. Man, that was that was a sad day. Yeah, that one hit me hard for some reason. I don't know. I had a baby. I was hormonal. So going back to your trip. My trip. So I left. I left early in the morning. I drove. I didn't hit much traffic. The thing that helped me up the most was the 45 minute wait at Starbucks. That's right.
00:16:48Like I go to order and she's like, she's like it's like 1/2 hour wait right now. And I was like, oh, OK, but there's one like a cross I5 I could go to and I was like, maybe. But I still, I needed to like I was gonna do my makeup and stuff. So I was like, well, I'll put a mobile order in, go do my makeup and then pick it up. Did that and then waited and waited and waited. It was crazy which it was. I left the Sunday after Thanksgiving, so a very busy travel day. There was. I hardly hit any traffic though like I it was that was the only thing. I was looking on the map, I was
00:17:25tracking you, spying on you, and I was looking at the LA traffic and it was completely green. I was like, I've never seen it like this. I I mean, I slowed down a few times, but really it was the Starbucks that to me at. But yeah, so then I well, first I stopped in Downtown Disney and met our friend from TikTok, Disney Cowgirl. Oh yeah, did I not tell you? No, you never told me any of this. Oh, that's right. Because we're going to record the podcast. I have a picture. And so we met up. I got oh, I went into so you know the store. I don't remember the name of it. When you're in Downtown Disney
00:18:04and you're in the store for or this area for a long time I was like, what are you doing? I almost texted you but I was like, that's kind of weird. Which I might you do it all the time. I know, but. There. We are. Oh, there she is. She's Disney cowgirl girl. So I was waiting for you. I wasn't waiting that long for you. I went. So there's an the store that used to have all like the art where I got all that art for George's room. It is now like a blind box store. So like boxes of the thing, different themes, there's Star
00:18:39Wars, there's different Disney movies. You don't know what you're going to get. So I've seen all of this on on TikTok. I really didn't know much about it before, but I have a lot of, you know, our friends that come in on our lives that do the blind boxes. So I was like, I'm going to do it. So I went into that store to to get a couple. So I did. And so I was looking at there. I also wanted a sweater which I am currently wearing, so I did that first, which was kind of dumb because I wasn't checked into my room yet. I went into Downtown Disney and did some shopping and then I
00:19:14went into the park where I was going to do a live with the key to Disneyland. That's right. So. You had all those bags. It got a little much, I mean, I was able to put it in my backpack, but it it was, it wasn't very well planned on my part. But anyways, so that was my plan is, was to get into the park and get the key to Disneyland, which we've talked about on the podcast before because we did it over the summer with the kids and live stream while I was getting all of the lights. I didn't know what to call them the entire time I was talking about them. Going to the different kiosks. Kiosks, yes.
00:20:00So that's what I did and it was fun. It was tiring. Like I, I was only going to go live. Well, I was going to go live for however long it took me to get all of the kiosks, get all the lights. But I rode a couple rides. What did I get on? I got on Gadget Coaster. Gadget Coaster, that was your first one? Which you can't hold, can't live stream. You can't live stream on that one. You can on Space Mountain, you can on like, it's like that and someone told me that it's Gadget Coaster and Mickey and Minnie's, they don't want you to live stream, but you can on like.
00:20:42Space Mountain. Space Mountain Credit. Coaster. OK, so it was a little fumbly because I was and then I had to try to get it in my backpack. I had the gimbal and I was like, but and then I went on Pirates and was just getting all the lights. But I, I don't know how, I don't think I could be a regular live streamer, which, yeah. And like, so our friends on TikTok told me because when I got home and I was going back on my regular lives, I was talking about it. And they were like, yo, you get used to like ignoring you, you know, you shake off the comments because normally I'm not in the parks. And I just got more comments
00:21:23that were irritating me, that were hard for me to shake off. I was just getting tired of having to like block people. When you and I went in October and we did the live stream, it was fun. It was fun. Like I, I don't know if I just didn't see the comments. I mean, I was on to, I was also like you were doing the live stream from your phone, but I was on my other account on the live stream. So I can see comments and I don't, I don't remember getting as many that were just irritating me. And so by the end of it, I just, I didn't even really notice it. But by the end I just, I called you after I got off and I was like, I just, I'm not happy.
00:22:08Like I just don't feel good. Like I'm just like, I'm kind of irritated and I just want to go back to the hotel and I just like, yeah, I don't know. Like it was fun at the beginning. And then I just got a couple of comments and I got a rude comment on a ride from a lady. Like I was not again podcast. I can't show but I had my phone like in front of my chest like low and 'cause I was very aware I did, I was really trying. I will say I don't know me, I probably messed up a whole bunch, but I was trying to not be annoying or I was also wearing mics so I was never talking very loud. Like I was making an effort to not talk super loud. I'm sure I failed at that too
00:22:57because I'm a loud person but and. Disney cowgirl on TikTok says we were ready to throw punch for her well. Like, OK, and you guys, you guys have been on rides, you know that there's people holding up their phones on pirates and like the the pirate ship battle scene. Or leave their flashlight on their phone while they're taking a video. All that. You and I had that at and the fireworks. We were watching them in front of Rivers of America in New Orleans Square a couple years ago, and there was a girl standing like next to you, I think, and had her flash on like recording the entire thing, it's
00:23:42like. You're recording something that's probably 50 feet away from you, and you have the little tiny flashlight on your phone. It's like that's not. OK, but not not everybody is like and I I tell you that not everybody know has your knowledge. I know, but with the camera it's like you you should be looking at like this is not doing anything to turn. It on and that was annoying but I do not have a flash on you guys. The boat starts going. I did hold it out like here real quick because I I did something, I don't know, I, I was checking something and then I brought my gimbal back like right in front
00:24:14of me. I was the only one in my row. I was not talking loud. I was talking like this and like I could hear them. And so we're going by like the banjo guy and one of the girls goes, why is it so dark? And the other girl goes, well, I don't know. I can't tell what this phone in my face, one doesn't even make sense. You can't tell why it's dark because there's a phone in your face. And what I wanted to do was go, this is in your face is what I wanted to do. I didn't I I didn't say anything. I just made sure to hold my phone down. But then they were talking about
00:25:02like their kids school and and I wanted to be like, I'm trying to enjoy the ride but I can't because I'm listening about your kids cheer squad. I didn't though. I didn't say anything. But stuff like that. Like we've talked about all the podcasts before, like when we've had a bad review that you share with me and I tell you, don't share the bad reviews with me because it's hard for me to shake off, which is an ADHD quality by the way. Oh wow, interesting. Like when you told me about the, the, the negative review that said that I, when we were explaining the new terms for lightning Lane went going from Genie plus to lightning Lane multi pass.
00:25:42And so we were, this was all the podcast. Like we were talking about the new lightning lane names. And so we kept kind of forgetting it. And I'd be like, wait, what is it called? And we had a review saying that I was awkward to listen to. We know. What you're awkward to look at? Then don't listen and go about your life. Like I don't get leaving, I get leaving a negative review review on products. For sure. Or like a restaurant or something. Like that, like we bought an ice maker, one of those like countertop ones. It was you couldn't clean it,
00:26:15you couldn't take it apart, you couldn't clean it. It got moldy. It was bad, so we left a negative review. Don't buy this. It is impossible to clean. You have to break it to clean it. I understand that, but I don't understand if I listen to a podcast that I don't like. I've done that, yeah. It doesn't even occur to me to leave a comment saying I didn't like this podcast, but that's what reviews are for. I get it, I know that. But. From, from a creator standpoint, it's like if you get, I mean, it all comes about how you say it. If you're giving critique and there's right way to give
00:26:52critique and a wrong way to. Give critique. And so as a creator, you're not going to know what's going to be best to to improve your craft unless somebody gives you critique. I've seen most reviews, they're going to be like, I hate this podcast, so stupid. It's you know, they're weird and awkward, blah, blah, blah. That's what most reviews are going to be. But as a creator, how you're going to get better is probably listening to those reviews and looking at, OK, maybe I need to change something. Which I did try to be less awkward to listen to but every time I did I said I'm trying to be less awkward to listen to. And every time still we bring up
00:27:29the lightning lane multi pass I say I hope I'm explaining it well and I'm not too awkward to listen to. So anyways. You're not awkward to listen to. It was hard for me because then I was uncomfortable the whole ride. I was uncomfortable the entire ride and I just wanted to get off the ride and I actually that was could. You stand up and start taking off all your clothes and start. What? No. What? Where were they guys? The guy in Small World. I got naked on Small world that went around on social media. Yes, yes, but no you. Should have done that live
00:28:06stream that. No, I don't want to be banned. I don't want to be banned. No, I did not do that. I just got off the ride and and then we weren't, I wasn't on much longer. It was really that after that I was just kind of grumpy and I just kind of wanted to like, and I was tired. I had like, you know, I'd gotten up early and and I got tequila and I'd gotten up early. I was tired. And so then I like went back to the room. Well, we finished. Oh, OK. So we finished getting all the kiosks again on the podcast, we said back in our summer trip out of at the time, there were at the time, there were 9 pins that
00:28:55you could get. There are 10 now. There were 9 pins that you could get on this key to Disneyland for the 70th. And we got the one that we didn't want in the summer. We got Haunted Mansion, the one we didn't want. So here's another key 555 months later. Five months later, I get another key. Will you do? What pin do I get? I think I jinxed it too because earlier in the live stream I was like how funny would it be if we got the same 1 again. We got the Haunted Mansion, but when we were there in the summer, you tried to trade it and but they already had a Haunted Mansion one and you
00:29:31can't trade a pin that's already on the board. So I went back to the hotel, took a little nap, came back in and I was able to trade it for a space mountain. So it was they had. Where is it by the way? It's right here. No, there it is. It's right here. They had Space Mountain, Jungle Cruise and the Millennium Falcon and I chose. Millennium Falcon. I knew that's what you would want, but I thought let's go with something that we all want and Space Mountain is one of all. I wouldn't say six of us cuz Georgia hasn't been on it, but us and the boys, it's like one of our top rides.
00:30:09So I got that, but I'm trying to think it was busy. It was very busy. This is the first time I had ever been during the holiday season. It was very, very busy. I wasn't trying to get on a lot of rides, so that didn't really matter. But when I went back to the hotel, like when I, I was about to lay down and I was like, I should probably, I want a jolly holiday for dinner. I wanted my grilled cheese and tomato soup. It was cold and I laid down around 3:00 and I was like maybe I should put a mobile order in, but I was like, I don't know exactly when I'm going to be back in the park. I'll wait till I like I'm
00:30:48leaving. So I only laid down for like 45 minutes, got up, left while I'm walking. I was taking the monorail back in and I'm walking to the monorail and I'm trying to do a mobile order. It was already out to 9:45. That's crazy. And so I. Was like. Which I know it's popular and I know that it's way out. Like I've tried to get, I've had to get like Raspberry macaron like at 9:00 AM for later in the afternoon. But like, I don't know, I've never had a problem that far out for dinner. So when I was going back in the park, it was like 4. It was a little before 5:00 and
00:31:28it was already out to 9:45. And then as soon as I because I clicked at first it said like 7 and I was like, OK, I could do that. I clicked on it. It was like, oh, no, sorry, 945, Oh, no, sorry, sold out. Like it popped up, You know, it like pops up like no, it's not available. I was like, OK, so I didn't get jolly holiday, which kind of stunk. That sounded really good. What did I eat? Oh, I got. Some like some salad or. Something I went, no, that was the next day I got, I went to Red Rose Tavern, that's right. And I got it was like a quinoa wrap thing. You got that before, haven't.
00:32:04You no. You got. Maybe that was another time. No, I had never gotten it. It was it was OK. It was OK. I just didn't feel like anything. That's what I felt. I felt like jolly holiday. And so I just didn't know what I wanted. So I got that. And then like a gingerbread cookie. That was pretty good. It was all right. I did get a black half cold brew. Yeah, that was very good. But so then I started live streaming again and I was in a better mood. And that's always help with the
00:32:29mood for sure. Yes, well, I first I got some content because that was another thing is I needed to get content. I didn't just want to go live, I needed to get content and I still don't feel like I got enough. Like now when I'm going back and like trying to get I'm like, what did I even do? Like. Yeah, like when we went back, when we went, when did we? Get in October. October, I only took pictures. I didn't take much video. I was like why did I take much video? I know I like I it's I feel like the next time I go and needs to be like no live and just I don't know, or I need to like set an
00:33:04alarm on my watch to go off and be like, OK, now I have to stop doing that. But oh, so I got on because Mata horn was only like 20 minutes and they have single rider. So I got back on live to do that because we have a lot of our TikTok friends are Disney Worlders who haven't been to Disneyland. And so I was kind of trying to show like, hey, look, this is your space mountain, which you probably couldn't tell because it's like dark and like going in and out and. Yeah. So for. How did that look? It looked good. It looked good. You know you. The Space Mountain in Disney
00:33:47World came before Space Mountain in Disneyland, but the Space Mountain in Disney World is actually based off of Matterhorn in Disneyland. Matterhorn was the first steel tube roller coaster ever. And so if you look at Matterhorn and then and Space Mountain at Disney World, they have a very similar ride system. So they have the same like parallel tracks, the same, you know, singular inline. It's like the same seats, the same kind of seats. Yeah, yeah. And the same kind of like, like our friend Mr. Sprinkles on TikTok went live the other night and he was going on Space Mountain. And when he got off, I heard someone say maybe someone
00:34:35commented or I feel like I heard someone say it like, oh, I got my back adjustment. Yeah, maybe someone said it in the comments. And that's what people say about Matterhorn. Like it's the same kind of like jerky like where Space Mountain is in Disneyland is not like. No, it's very smooth. So it's kind of, it's funny. It's like, yeah, but so we did that and then I did the fireworks in Galaxy's Edge, which it was only 9 minutes because it's the holiday fireworks. So it was different than what you and I saw in October. It was different. Yeah, it was better in October one. It was longer.
00:35:12It was it's like 15 minutes, the normal like Wondrous Journeys, but it was shorter. It didn't have the whole like Darth Vader and Anakin part. Yes, the seats on Space Mountain, Elisa. Yes. So in Space Mountain in Disneyland, you're 2 by two. Oh, that's why I did that too. I did. I did a single, I did a single rider for Space Mountain. The line was like 75 minutes, 6 or like 60 minutes. And I don't know. I was talking to you, right? I was Facetiming you. Yeah, because Georgia wanted to. Yeah, so I don't know how long I waited because I was talking to her on the FaceTime for a little while.
00:35:51So it went by fast, but it wasn't too bad. It wasn't too bad. And it's always, it's always good. Yeah. Like I feel whenever I do single rider, I feel kind of weird just because you're sitting next to this person and I scream and laugh a lot. But, you know, he was having a good time, too, so, you know, it's all right. Yeah. So then I did the fireworks. I can't remember. I think I just walked around after that on the live. I don't really remember. Yeah. You didn't really do much more, you know, you live streamed, obviously the fireworks and then
00:36:28that was kind of it. Yeah, I got, oh, you know what I did see when they lit up the the castle because it has all the icicles on it, you know, for the for the holiday. And they do like a special like castle lighting ceremony and that was really pretty. That was really pretty. What else? Oh, I did storybook. And you also did the tapestry. Yes, OK. That's right. So thank you who told us that. Disney Cowgirl. Disney cowgirl. Thank you. Yeah. So after the fireworks, I was heading over that way to do the tapestry. What is it called again?
00:37:14Tapestry of. Tapestry of happiness. Happiness but on the way we had time and it was like a walk on pretty much for storybook canals, which is better at night. So we did that, got another rude comment and then I knew exactly where I was every time. See, This is why I can't do it, you guys. And they added a Rapunzel tower, which is it's, it's not like 'cause you know, the castles on there that are like far off. So those are actually really tiny. You know, it's like the force perspective or whatever for sure. So the tower, you go, oh, hello, how did the, how did the cat get in here?
00:37:58How'd you get in here? Doors open No. Don't do that, don't do that. The tower of the boat goes right by so it is a little bit bigger and you hear the song, but I mean, that's all we get. Like come on, bring a tangled land. Yeah, very. Cool, like the village. Got bathrooms, we got a tiny little tower. Well, and then we have we have the I showed that on the live the in the story in the by the royal where you meet the princesses and where, Oh my gosh, what is it called? Oh, fantasyland. In Fantasyland, we have the little Rapunzel Tower, and then there's the there's The Wanted poster of Flynn Rider.
00:38:53But like, come on, we need more. Oh my gosh, I just thought of something we haven't talked about. Remind me to talk about Bluey. Oh, that's right, Bluey, for real life. I'm going to cry. I'm going to cry. Yeah. So then we did the. Let's see if he's, I love it so much. So we did the tapestry of Happiness and it's such a good show. I mean, it's only like 3 minutes or something like that. But if you're at Disneyland during the 70th, I don't know if they'll have it after that, but check it out. I think it's at I think they only do one right?
00:39:3010:30 they might do 2. I don't. Know there's two. They might do 2, but it's it's in front of small world and it's just it's really good. It's really good yeah and like I said, it's only like a three 3 or 4 minute like music and projection show on small world, but it's it's really good so check it out if you're there and that was pretty much it. I just like went to some shops and talked and then I I got off the live but. Hang. On but OK, so I already talked about like the early entry for Grand California. The next day, the. Next day, Yep. Early entry. Yep.
00:40:18Went wonderful. Yeah. Because it's a good entrance. I just don't get it. I don't. I don't get it. It doesn't make sense while they're getting rid of it only. The only thing that makes sense is that they're going to replace it with a paid option or if you get like a certain, you know, you get a deluxe view room that comes with, you know. I can't. It just makes more sense to me that they would do something like that in Disney World where more people are staying on property. I know. It's not, it's not like, oh, we're going to stay on property for early entry.
00:40:55You're staying on property in Disney World because you are in the Disney bubble and it's you have ton of options value, moderate, deluxe, like all of those things. Early entry is a bonus where, I mean, I'm going to say it's the only reason you're staying on property Disneyland, but it's it's a big reason. It's a big reason because the prices are not value. So OK, anyways, I know we've talk about it a lot. I just don't understand it and I'm very upset about it. So I rope dropped guardians because everyone mission breakout. Mission breakout Most people are rope dropping radiator springs but they have a single rider so and guardians does not.
00:41:47So I went to guardians mission breakout it was amazing as always. If you didn't know, I don't know if you can request this. I've never tried to request it, but the right elevator is better. Yes, yes. Because. Multiple times. Yes. Is that a dig? No, I don't want to give any spoilers if you don't want a spoiler because it is different than Tower of Terror, the way it starts, the right. Is more the right, Is more intense. Is more intense. On the right side compared to the left side. Yes.
00:42:28There we go. Thank you, babe. Yes. Anyways, so I got the right side. That was the only side that was going at for early entry. After that, I got some breakfast at the M's Kitchen. I got French toast and the Asgardian cold brew. Cold brew again, I brought my own. Your own straw. Reusable straw. Don't they use those paper straws? And it helped. Yeah, Good it. Was good. Nice. Good French toast was good. And then we had a TikTok battle with our friend Mr. Sprinkles.
00:43:07He goes live in Disney World and he was in Hollywood Studios in front of Tower of Terror and I was in front of Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout which. Used to be. Tower of Terror. So we had a battle of the towers and that was really fun. And then so my plan was Papa Sprinks. My plan was no, he probably worked on his Oh, he might be. He's been working on his paper like all day. My Elisa who won Sprinkles Tower of Terror just by. A little bit. Like. Oh man. I don't know what that sounded like, 'cause I can't hear it, but he's working like a madman. You're going to do it.
00:43:59You're going to do it, friend. I was surprised, honestly, I was a little surprised. I thought. I thought Guardians would. Was going to pull through there for a minute. I was trying to snipe. I was trying to snipe with the battle and didn't work out. I can't hear it because we have our headphones on. Tower is classic. But man, Guardians of the Galaxy mission breakout. Is it really you guys? And I say this as someone who was not happy about the change, and I'm not. I was like, I didn't watch the Twilight Zone. I wasn't attached to the Twilight Zone or anything like that.
00:44:42But I love Tower of Terror. And I was like, I didn't like Marvel coming to the parks. I was like, this is it is. It's so much better, so much better. And then I still didn't know. I still wasn't sure because I had never been on at a certain point. Now I have, but up until two years ago, I had never been on Tower of Terror at Disney World. So when Tim and I, our first trip, we did not go on Tower of Terror, the trip that we took just the two of us, I was like, we need to do Tower of Terror. I've never been on it in Disney World. I know it's a little different than it was in California Adventure before it changed. So maybe like, you know, it's,
00:45:25you know better than it was at Disney World. Disneyland. It it's not, it's not. I left the whole time too. Disney Cowgirl. I left the whole time. It's really like just, it's just, it's so good. It's so good. And I seemed like my sister when I told her about the change. She was like, I don't like that. I don't like that at all. And like, I love Tower of Terror. And I was like just. The moment the ride starts, she the moment the ride starts and you're like, this is a million times better. And she was like the first time she rode Guardians Mission Breakout, she was like, yeah,
00:46:04that's better. Like it's it's so good. It's so good. Anyways, so we did our battle. Then everyone in Mr. Sprinkles Live was like, oh, you're going to ride it. Tower of Terror in Hollywood was only 20 minutes. And I looked and Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout was also 20 minutes. It was missing. I got on that again and we almost rode it. We were both still alive. We almost rode it at the same time. He he got on a few minutes before me and then we just walked around. We you know, after that, that one I did live stream. I did live stream and that one
00:46:42with the first one I wasn't on live like I was just doing my own thing but the second one I was on live and everyone got to hear me screaming and cracking up. Yeah. I'm sure it was very fun. I'm sure that. Was pretty much the end of it because then you had lunch and then came home. Yeah, that was pretty much my day. I I was on live for a little bit longer. We walked around, then I, I got some, I told you I was like, I got something new for lunch. Well, because I knew I needed, I needed to leave by noon because, or about noon because I had to pick up our oldest on the way home.
00:47:23So and I didn't want to be late. He was at a friend's house after school and I didn't want to be late picking him up. So so I was just around like I was on Buena Vista, you know, like towards the front. And I knew because I was like, do I want Berea tacos? I did, but that's all the way back on the Wharf. And I was like, if I go get that because I didn't, I also, I didn't even go down to other than when I came into the park and was on, you know, walking on the pier, I didn't even go down by a credit coaster or anything. And I was like, I will be late. I will take me longer and I will be late. So I got a grilled chicken sandwich salad. Wow, check you out.
00:48:10But I wasn't, I 'cause I was feeling yucky. And so I got that at Smoke Jumpers and it was actually really good. I mean, you wouldn't like it. No, but it was actually, it was actually really good. And then I just did some shopping. But you know what, I was, I was grumpy and I was feeling you guys. I feel every time, every time we do this where we will just do half day the day we're leaving and I feel grumpy and anxious and. You get in the bad mood when you when we leave. And I was. Don't mess with mom, guys. She's mad. And I was like, why I was, I was
00:48:54analyzing myself the whole way home about why, how, why I felt the way I did when I was live streaming and why is it so hard for me to leave? I'm going to be back in February and I was just here in October. I have no answers really. I really don't have many answers except for the fact that I I was saying this the other day and I find it a little embarrassing, a little funny that our trip in February we are we are staying an extra night. Yeah. And leaving the next morning without going into the park just because of my mental state. Well, it's also because we always say we're going to leave at lunch. We never leave at lunch. We always eat, leave, you know,
00:49:37an hour or two hours later, I think. That's where it stems from. It stems from when our third boy was a newborn or infant and our daughter, because I would be like, OK, we're going to get stuck in traffic. And both of those kids hated the car seat and wouldn't take a bottle. So I was breastfeeding. I'm like, we're going to like stop in LA traffic and they're going to scream and they're going to then they're going to sleep all the way home and then not sleep tonight. And it would always cause me anxiety. And I think that's where it started because I was like, but I was by myself. I'm like, you don't have a baby
00:50:07who's going to fall asleep or need to nurse or do anything. Why are you anxious? You're just like, because you don't want to leave. I get that. You want to buy a bunch of things that you're not buying that makes you mad. I get that. But yeah, So anyways, I find it funny and a little sad that we have to change our plans for me, but I was thinking, you know what? I was thinking what? I was going to say this earlier, but the kids were around. I wonder if we should maybe do Goofy's Kitchen. Yeah, that would be. Fun because we've never done a character breakfast at Disneyland.
00:50:46And then we get a little Disney, but we don't go into the park. Yeah. And then we just. Leave. And then we leave after that. Yeah. So maybe we can look into that. Yeah. Yeah. And see about doing that. And maybe the kids will actually eat at this character breakfast, unlike Cape May where our kids didn't eat anything and I was putting Mickey waffles and Ziploc. Bags. Oh, that was an expensive, expensive experience. You didn't tell me how much it was and I don't need to know because it was almost a year ago.
00:51:14It was almost a year. Ago. I can't believe it. And that money has been gone. I can't believe, I couldn't believe, I couldn't believe how much it was. I don't. I don't want to know now, even though that money is gone and it doesn't matter now, we're fine. I mean, the food was great. Like it was so good. I was, I was, we were eating so much. I was like, I'm so full. I I can't, I can't eat anymore. And I was just trying to eat for everybody. And like a couple of the kids were getting over getting because they got sick on the trip and so their appetites were low.
00:51:48And I was expecting Jack, who's our teenager who eats like non-stop and. Loves bacon and. Loves No, I'm not hungry. Oh my gosh, I was. Like you got to be kidding me. Are you kidding me? Or they were all like, and the three when we went ate at Roundup Rodeo too. Like they love meat. Oh yeah, And they're like taking a bite and that's it. We're like, no, you guys are eating. I'm like you guys, look at all the meat. Look at the meat. Look at all the man. Meats, but but yeah, so maybe we could do that. Yeah, maybe we could do that. That are storytellers.
00:52:27Oh, I hear that one's better. I hear that one's better. I got to see my boys Chip and Dale. I just got it. The chipmunks. The chipmunks Chip and Dale, not the Chip and Dales. Our friend Amy says Storytellers Breakfast is so good, maybe we should try for that too. Storytellers I believe is a buffet like Cape May and Goofy's Kitchen. I don't think it's a buffet. So yeah, I've heard I I forgot about storytellers. We should do that one instead, because I thanks for clarifying our people. You're taking a family vacation and we're. Going to Chippendales guys have a great buffet, family friendly.
00:53:25Any ways, that was yes, Jay says. Kids don't want to eat. They want to ride rides. I hated eating at Disney when I was a kid. Yeah, yeah. So yeah, that was pretty much it. It was really, it was for content. I was trying to get video and pictures. And you are definitely better because it's what you do for a living as well. But like just know getting content that I would never think of getting and just yeah, so definitely going to need to do again. But we did tell our kids I was like, if I'm going to be doing this more, if I'm treating this
00:54:11more like a a job, if you guys can handle it, I would like to take one of you each time. But our nine year old is the one who's saying he doesn't know if he can handle it, so he might ruin it for everybody. So I was like, OK, I'll take you one time. But then the next time I wouldn't take another one and you won't go. And I'm like, can you handle that? And he's like, I don't know. I'm like, OK, well, I don't want it to be like this huge thing every time. So, so we'll see. And honestly, if it was to get content, I want to take our our youngest, youngest, our daughter, she's 4. Like that would be.
00:54:51Pointless. That would be pointless. You and you and I would like, like, if we could go and take her and do content stuff because we'd be together and then the boys could just like, go to your parents. But we would need to be because we've taken her just us before, like when she was a baby and I couldn't leave her yet. She came with just me and you. But yeah. So we'll see. We'll see. I mean, our next trip is a family trip, then segue into the next news. We want to go in like sometime in March or April because. Blue E is coming to Disneyland. Blue E and Bingo Blue E and Bingo are coming to Disneyland
00:55:29and. For Disney World, it's for cereal. Cereal and. Disney World in coming to Animal Kingdom in the summer. And the cruise line? And cruise line. And I've never cried at meeting a character. I've never cried at meeting a character. You know this is a 20 year old girl in a blow up costumes. They're not blow up costumes. It's not like it's a sumo wrestler costume. It's Michael Scott. You know what? Don't ruin, don't ruin it. I know, but it's still going to be cool. I I was thinking about it and I was like just seeing, seeing our
00:56:07daughter too. And our son, like our nine year old loves Bluey like I might, I might get emotional. We'll see. She might be our daughter knowing our daughter, she like loves Bluey but will like not want to meet Bluey. But I'm going to give Bluey a hug. Well. They're having it. They're doing a show. Yes. Then they're doing the show. Oh my gosh, I'm so excited. I'm so excited because we've talked about it before. Like maybe we should have a Bluey podcast where we watch episode. They're they're they're doing specially specialty food at the
00:56:42the little the little snack bar by the theater, too, based on Bluey. Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh, Are they going to have edamame beans and. What, what? What Is it? Something in Toast that they have? Beans and toast. Beans and toast. Well, that's like an Australian. Yeah, but I'm very excited. I'm very excited. We should definitely start a new. Good night. Laura Lee, have a great night. Thank you so much for your help. We should do a new podcast where we, you know, like the where they watch each episode. Yeah, we should. Both Bluey.
00:57:22And breakdown each episode and how amazing it is. I think we could do it OK, but anyways, I want, Amy says. I wonder how many crying adults they greet every day. I know probably a lot. Probably a lot. All right, so you talked about your trip. Yeah, it wasn't that exciting. I'm sorry. It's OK. It's OK. No, it's good. It's great. We're already at 59 minutes into this podcast, so we'll we'll end this on just quickly. You know something? You know what? What tips? What Disney tips you wish you had when you started going to
00:58:07Disney Parks? Hang on one second, our friend Melanie says. What was the best thing you ate? You know what? I didn't really get anything new that crazy. I tried the cookie butter churro in Downtown Disney. The, the actual churro wasn't as good as the ones that are actually in the park. It felt more like a Walt Disney World churro where it was kind of like, it was not as like, but it's also crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. And but it had the cookie butter drizzle and then you got ice cream as like the dipping and that was really good, but it almost tasted kind of stale. I was at the end of the night. It was like, you know, 11:00 at
00:58:52night or so, so. And that's also not like the official Disney churro, right? It's. Like they, you know, I think it's called California churros that are in downtown. What? Was the best thing I got. Probably I got the garlic, the garlic bread, pretzel bread, pretzel bread from Edelweiss. That was probably the best. Also shout out to my amazing husband who was doing mobile orders for me while I was in the park streaming and he was home with our kids and then telling me when they were ready and to go get them. He was ordering my food for me to make sure that I ate one phone. I only had one phone.
00:59:29And I knew that if you didn't do it, you would not eat and then you would pass out and then I would. Have to come pass. Pick you up at a hospital in Anaheim and then. That's that's a ridiculous story. And then? Be like, oh oops, we gotta go to Disneyland. Well, then maybe you should have just done that. But yes, I do realize how hard it is to stream in the parks. It is not easy. I couldn't read the chat and walk because it was so crowded. I was like, I'm gonna run into somebody. I know I kept saying are you seeing my comments? And I was like, I can't because
00:59:59I looked at my phone and be like, oh, oh, oh, oh, because it was so the park was so packed that I couldn't look at my phone. Really. It was a little easier at night just because my phone was brighter and I could see comments more easily. But also the ride you want to ride the most. Yes, yes, yeah. Go to 1st at rope drop. OK. So sorry, Tim. So the you breaking microphones here, what's going on? It just slides on there. There you go. I've done that before. So we've all been, we're all veterans with going to Disney parks.
01:00:47We've learned a lot of tips along the way through research, through personal experience. So what's the tip that you would have liked to known when you started going to Disney Parks? This goes out to our friends over on TikTok. Let us know what are some tips that that you love that you didn't know when you first started going, and we'll share them here on the podcast. So I've been thinking about this because you told me that you asked me this this morning. I honestly can't really think of any for Disneyland. I feel like we learned as we went. I mean, I'll say having kids, being parents in the park, I grew up going. So when I started taking you, I
01:01:38already had like an idea of how to do things fast pass at the time and all of that. And then, you know, then as we started having kids and stuff, it was like, we just learned as we're like, you know, we take our baby and we're like, oh, next time we want to do this. OK, we did that. Oh, next time we want to do this, we did that. Like when they had a bugs land and they had the the splash area, we saw it one time and the kids wanted to play in it. And I was like, hey, next time I'm going to bring their swimsuits and change their clothes so they can play for a while. I did. So like for Disneyland, I can't, I couldn't think of anything,
01:02:18but I could for Disney World because we went for the first time as adults at with four kids not knowing as much as we thought we did. So I could think about that or I could, I could think of ones for that. OK, I'm just looking at. Over on TikTok I just saw just saw one, where did it go? Do you see Grant? Grant says. Oh wait, I missed the first one. He said though 'cause this one has an OR but it's getting the getting the line right before the park closes cause the weight is shorter. Yeah, another one from Melanie's Manias best tip for nowadays is to refresh mobile food orders for better times and lightning lanes if you jumped on.
01:03:23So, yeah, so if you, you know, if you're on mobile ordering or your lightning lanes, you're trying to find a lightning lane continuing to refresh, you know, just refresh because they'll, they'll, they'll pop up because people cancel either their food orders or they'll cancel their lightning lanes and you may be able to get a earlier lightning lane or food ordering time. Yes, and then the nights in Disney life says if you see something you want to buy, get it. Don't expect oops, don't expect to find it again later or the next day. Very true. I've done that. I'm like, oh, I'll be back. Like if we're going to be, you know, it hasn't happened that
01:04:05many times, but we're going to be back in the next month or so. Like, that doesn't happen a whole lot, but it has happened a few times and it's gone. I thought about that with hats because my son had been wanting a new Star Wars hat and I, they had new ones like that they didn't have in October. And but I didn't get him one because I want him to pick out his own and blah, blah, blah. And I'm like, they're probably all going to be gone in February, but yeah. One that we've talked about a lot on the podcast is just going at your kids pace. The youngest one. The youngest one. The youngest. One the most difficult one the. Slowest one, don't try to push
01:04:44it all the time because I know you want to go to like ride to ride to ride, but if your kids not having it and they need a break just to like run around Mickey's Toontown, even though that stresses me out like. You hate, you hate the play areas. It gives me anxiety. Germs, OH. Gosh, but if that's what they need, just let their energy out so that because sometimes they can't ride on some of these rides and so they're stuck in their stroller and they get frustrated and they start yelling and screaming and start having meltdowns. But if you just follow their lead, they always want to go run around. Just let them run around.
01:05:23Yeah, because the everyone is going to be happier if the youngest and loudest is happy. For sure. We have 4. None of them have been well, I, I don't want to say that. I'll say all of our children are stubborn and strong willed all of our children. So there's that and we but we still forget that. It was like, I remember we say that saying that with our our third and then with our daughter. It was like she was good. She was good. She liked rides. We go on a family trip where we take your family or was it when we went with my family? I can't remember. All of a sudden she's afraid of
01:06:08like everything and doesn't want to go on any ride. She loved Mickey and Minnie's. All of a sudden she's freaking out over every single ride. We're getting frustrated. And then finally I was like, that's right. I'm going to stay out here with her play with bubbles, you guys go. And everyone was happier. Even me, even though I was at first I was irritated because I didn't get to go on the rides. I'm like, she's having a great time playing with bubbles. She's not screaming and ticking me off like this is what we're doing, this is what we're doing. I like this. I like the nights in Disney. If you have an opportunity to go with all of your extended family
01:06:42to Disney, miss it. Just do it once. Just do it once. You say that you guys have done it. Get the matching shirts. Which we have never done. I, I, I can't get, I can't get our our people to do the matching shirts you guys with, Melanie says. With a group, everyone gets one must then everything else is a bonus. That's. Nice, I like. That, yeah. Another one that. Yes, Toontown has a great play area. That's the one that that really stresses Tim out. Yeah, it's. All the germs.
01:07:18It's just a breeding ground of flu and COVID. But. One that I think we've only really recently started doing within the last few years is the midday break. Yes, midday break. Even even with us as adults. Oh yeah, we do it even if we don't have our kids with us. Yeah. If you're rope dropping and I mean, we're not young chickens anymore. We we're. Not young chickens. Don't call me a chicken. You know, we get tired and, you know, the kids get tired too. So that's a nice thing about Disneyland is that the if you're staying on property, even some of the good neighbor hotels,
01:08:05they're relatively close by. Yeah. And whether it's just drop jumping on the monorail or, you know, walking across the street and just either, you know, if it's during the winter time, just kind of hanging out in the room, you know, yeah, taking a break or during the summer, do a pool break, cool off. Yeah, everybody's happier. Yeah, yeah. So with Disney World, though, one thing that I, I wish we would have known, I wish we would have known more about split stays that that seems to be a little more common in Disney World where people will stay a few nights at this resort and then go to this resort. We stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge, which is I was 'cause we
01:08:54had to postpone that trip. And so when we had to postpone and there were dates that weren't too crazy that we could do, I was so excited because we had or have one of our sons. All of our kids love animals, but like our second oldest, like loves animals and loves Lion King and I was so excited to get that room for him. But Animal Kingdom Lodge is near Animal Kingdom, but not really near any of the other parks. And so, and at the time too, this was back in 2022, February 22, we just didn't know anything. We thought we would have an idea. We did not. And so the buses were packed. You have to take the bus to every park because there's not
01:09:46the sky liner or the monorail or anything like that. I wish we would have known about split stays. So like maybe stay there for a couple nights because it's really, it is really cool. I mean, we had a balcony and there are giraffes and zebra right out there. Like it was really cool. But maybe do a split stay also looking along with that, getting information about the different kinds of transportation and so seeing where you want to stay based off that. So like knowing now so many people say like, oh, staying on a skyline or resort. So if you're staying somewhere like on the Boardwalk, so there's like Yacht Club, Boardwalk Beach Club or Art of
01:10:32Animation Pop, they're on sky liner. Like 'cause the Sky liner can take you to Epcot, it can take you to Magic Kingdom, and then you can just take the bus to the other two. Parts studios, not Magic Kingdom. Oh yeah, Hollywood Studios. Sorry, Hollywood Studios. It makes it a lot easier with or without kids, 'cause you and I stayed at Top Century and made it so much easier. Also, their monorail in Disney World, you don't have to collapse your stroller. That's. Amazing. When we stayed at Grand Floridian, we didn't have our kids with us, so it didn't matter.
01:11:05But but that's great. So just you know. Caribbean beach, yes, it's nice. And Disney, they, that's one that I hear a lot of people really like 'cause it's very centrally located. Yes, Some. I can't remember, I think is it Laura Lee? That usually tells us though they don't have elevators. So if you have a stroller or a wheelchair, but even if you, you know, if you have young kids in a stroller, you might want to ask for the first floor because there's no elevators, only stairs. But I would like to stay there 'cause I hear good things about that one. Art of Animation. I, we loved it.
01:11:42We loved art of animation. That's really cool. They have family suites there. So for our family of six, it was a great size. You and I had our own room and so that was great on the sky liner great quick service restaurant fun themes Nemo pool like it was it was great yes. We love the art of animation. So no so that's something that I would say like from our first trip to Disney Disney World, there was something else. Oh, this is kind of really consider if you have more than one kid getting the stroller with a skateboard kickstand thing because and don't get rid of it too soon if you have it. I wish we had that. Yeah, to this day. Where, you know, after we had
01:12:50our three boys, we didn't know if we were going to have another kid. So I wasn't going to at that point invest in a new fancy stroller that had that. And the stroller we had, the double stroller we had couldn't accommodate one of those kickstands if I knew. So this is something if I would have known, like when our oldest was a baby, because we knew we were going to have more than one for sure, I would have gotten a better stroller for Disneyland, a stroller that when I was shopping for our double stroller, when I was shopping for our double stroller, instead of a side by side, I would have gotten one that's more what is that vertical instead of side by side.
01:13:38Yeah, single, single file. Instead of that side by side and then that also had that kickstand or a skateboard where the older kid can stand on. I would have invested in that when our second was born. Because then we went on to have a third and then we went on to have a fourth. And I would have, even if we would have only had two, I would have gotten a better stroller for Disneyland. Because even now with our four year old, take, take the stroller guys. You think, oh, I have a 5 year old. I have a six year old. They can take the stroller, take the stroller because they will get tired. You don't want to be carrying a
01:14:18six year old around. You don't. And they will get tired. That's a lot of walking for them to do on the wagon. Tandem, yes. Grant on TikTok gas if you have a kid with a disability in California, Disney can you get a blue tag on a wagon? So wagons were outlawed or banned. They're bad 'cause someone asked me all my life when I was there. They're like, oh, they have wagons. You can see people use wagons but it's usually for kids who have disabilities they they allow. In Disney World, you can. Yeah. So I believe I've seen in California at Disneyland that
01:15:04usually the kids who are in those wagons just have some type of disability. So they allow that, but I believe they still enforce the no wagons stroller policy unless your kid has a disability. It's a rough process. Yeah. I'm assuming if they do some, like they do some things differently, you know, in Disneyland than in Disney World. But something like that, I would assume would be both, both parks. They assess your case. Yeah. Like I know with the DOS Pass, like you have to meet with a cast member in order to to be like approved for that pass. So maybe it's something similar like that where you have to be
01:15:49approved for it. But. Invest in a better stroller. What? OK, side note, real quick about the, the, the skateboard, when we were in Disney World, we were staying at Boardwalk No Beach Club, Beach Club. And we were walking back from Epcot and we saw an old couple like had to be in their 80s. And she was in a, a scooter, like an automated scooter. And she had one of those skateboard things and her husband was standing on it behind her wheelchair or scooter. That's awesome. And I was like, that's going to be us. And it's me and you, babe. That's going to be us.
01:16:35And I thought that was the best thing I'd ever seen. I'd ever seen it, any park. I was like, that's amazing. I love it. I love, I love it. Kids meals. They're not just for adults. You mean they're not just? Not for kids kids meals are not just for kids. You're trying to save some money especially because some of them say that not for you know must be 12 and under If you mobile order they're not going to know you're a kid or not. So if you want to save some couple bucks, get a kids meal because some are pretty good. Also take Ziploc bags. Yeah. I mean, that's something I've done for a long time, but maybe
01:17:20not right away. I maybe I probably didn't do that when our, our oldest two were little because, you know, they might not eat all of their lunch, but there's some parts of it that they could snack on a little later when you're going on rides and they're like, I'm hungry 5 minutes after you just threw away their lunch. So, you know, take some bags because they're going to be hungry in a couple minutes. Yeah. But. Final one has to do with lightning lanes. Not everybody likes lightning lanes, but there is a strategy behind it, stacking as opposed to just churning. If you stack it, you'll have better success and be able to
01:18:02use it better and be able to have it later in the day when the times are really busy. So if you're in the morning, you're doing that every two hours and you're adjusting the times to later in the afternoon and then. So that way you have a nice stack for a later in the afternoon evening and you don't have to wait in those long lines when this is most popular. So stacking those lightning lanes really help. Yeah. So there you go. All right, I wasn't really listening. That's OK. You usually don't, but I know you love me. I do. What did I get you?
01:18:45Tell everyone what I got you. You got me a Star Wars Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith mug, which is pretty cool. I like it actually. Actually. What? You said I like it actually. Actually, actually like it. I'm glad. A number one husband key chain that looks like a cast member. Name tag, a cast member name tag and it says #1 husband because he was ordering me my food and telling me when it was ready and what window it was at. Well, you wouldn't know 'cause you, you don't have, you were no I. Know, I know, but it was very nice and not a lot of, you know, not everyone would do that. That's true.
01:19:27Not everyone would, but I would. So I hope you enjoyed this recap of Audrey's trip and some of these tips that we wish we would have known when we first started going to Disney parks.
