00:00:15Hey guys, it's Tim and welcome to episode 140. We're in the one 40s now of the dreaming of Disney podcasts. I'm with my beautiful wife, Audrey Anne. What would we what? I don't even want to know what the number would be, if we would, if we would have stuck to every week like we used to do. We did every week for what, the first two years? Yeah, about that. Then we went to every other and now it's like whenever we're randomly thinking about. It yeah, we have something to talk about because for a while there we were going pretty frequently. Yeah, a few months back we had some things. We haven't had a trip and we

00:00:57don't have one on the books. I want to say we don't have one planned, but that's so depressing because technically we do like we will go most like like end of January, early February. We always go. We just, you know, we haven't booked anything for that. But there's no like specific dates picked and that is very sad. It is very sad. It hurts. It hurts. But we were almost there today, and then we decided to be responsible adults. This sound is going all over the place right now with me. That's because I'm getting your levels dialed in. Dial in those levels.

00:01:37Dial. In those levels. Yeah, we almost, we almost booked one night for today. Man, it was a good price. Too. Oh my gosh, it hurt. It got a got a bad. Really good special. But. And but. Even if it's a good deal. We've. Learned this that it's a good decision, right? Like 10. Years of marriage, there's multiple times we went on trips like, oh, it's a great deal. Doesn't mean it's. A smart decision if we extend our trip by like 5 days OK the the flight is cheaper but then it ends up being you spend more

00:02:15money because. You Well, no, the when we went to world. That's where we went to New York when we were. First married. That one was dumb. That one was dumb. But when we went to World last year, like a year and a half ago, Can you believe it was a year and a half ago that was the case where we extended and the plane tickets were so much cheaper. And then we got two more nights at Art of Animation and we still saved money even with staying two more nights like the plane. It was like crazy, like crazy more expensive the day we were originally. Yeah, so, but this time just one night and we kept singing and

00:02:56we, we had to remind ourselves because our last family trip we were like, OK, we need to wait a while to take our our daughter again because she's in a rough phase. She's 5 and our children. Maybe this needs to be a shirt because I say this all the time, but we have very strong willed, stubborn children. ADHD runs strong. We do have one of the kids downstairs, just so we know. Oh, it's OK, he knows. I'm assuming that's the the biggest one, The oldest one. Which middle one? We have two middles. The older middle one. Oh, what's he doing? OK, well, he was he was a handful as a toddler, but like she, she's going through a

00:03:38difficult phase and I'm, I'm confident, given that we've had three other ones before her that it is coming to. I don't want to say an end because there's always phases, right? But like it's it, it will, she will be able to reason better soon. Like I'm, I'm confident, I'm confident in that. But anyways, we had said our last trip with our kids that like, OK, we need to, we need, we need to, we, they need a long break. But if we would have gone today, if it would have been just me and you, if we would have had someone to take the kids for a night, we probably would have done it. We.

00:04:25Would have done it. But we didn't have anyone that could be with the kids for a few days. And so it was it was the smart financial, financially smart, responsible decision to not go. But it still hurt. But anyways, I I'm in charge. Yeah, yeah, You, you figured something out to talk about. Yeah, that's. A problem at all? And OK, I'm just, I'm just going to sit here and take it all in. I don't know. Well, you're you have to, you have to I. Have to participate. What? No, I'm just going to talk to myself. OK, I was just going to sit here and watch you talk.

00:05:06So I don't know if you would call this Disney etiquette controversy Controversial etiquette. What do you do when this happens? And they might not all fit perfectly in that category, but we're going to we're going to talk about them. Because I saw someone post and they were talking about this and they were like, I didn't even know this was a controversy. But but apparently people have strong feelings about this. So I asked on our social medias and I got a few a few like responses on etiquette or things that I don't know, etiquette controversy, hot takes like it could it could all go under that umbrella. OK, OK, OK, so this was the one

00:05:55I saw. Yeah, you mentioned, I saw you post something about this. I I've been kind of out of the loop of what's been going on at the parks as far as like, not like announcements as far as like, you know, D23 and stuff like that, but as far as like. Well, this isn't anything. This was just someone talking about OK so. This is. This is the. First one I saw and then we'll go from there. OK, so she was saying apparently this is controversial and what you should do when you are walking up to a line to a cue and you get to the first cast member, usually where you scan your magic bands where you have the height measurement.

00:06:35OK, so you are walking behind a family. The family stops and has to measure one of their children. I go pass them. Do you wait or do you go past? Them I don't wait because then you're holding up the entire line. Someone else is just going to pass you. Yeah. So they because you technically they they step you aside. You're outside of the line at. That time usually, I mean some of the cues are kind of like skinny I guess. I guess it could be. You. Feel in the way. Also, other cast members say, you know, like, you know, there's, you know, they usually

00:07:12say, oh, there's more, there's more, you know, other, I don't know what you call those scanning things. Oh, for for Lightning Lane, Yeah, they'll tell you to go. Around. Yeah, there's, there's more, you know, come scan over here. But also there's just standby that has the hyper. Yeah, yeah, I I didn't know. I was like, yeah, go around them. And this is coming from someone who has four kids. And I like, I guess some people feel like you should wait. Some people maybe with young kids feel like they were already in line and people are passing them. I have told people several times like, oh, go ahead, because I'm

00:07:47measuring my kid, You know, like I. But apparently this was this is something that people feel strongly about, which I was kind of surprised because to me, I was just like, you just go around them like, and this is coming again from a mom who has our youngest up until very recently has had a fear of getting measured for right. It's such a weird thing I can't wrap my head around while you're. Using Nope, we could never we. I still don't understand it, but so this would always be a fight to get her just to stand and see how tall she is. And it's not just the parks also with the doctor. But so yeah, I would. I've always just been like, oh,

00:08:38go ahead. Like with any of our kids, like, oh, go ahead. So I was kind of like. But anyways, that's the post I saw that got me thinking. OK. Yeah, you. Oh my. Wait. If there's nowhere to go but pass if there's a gap in the line, yeah, I guess like if the line, if it's a long line, if the line is for the up to that point. I guess it all depends on how the line is structured. Because like if the, the the height requirement measurement thing is like inside the line, you can't really get past it, then then I would say, OK, wait. But if it's like the lightning

00:09:18lanes wears off to the side and the cast member says, oh, hey, wait up. Let's we need to measure. You come over here and you move to the side. And then I think it's fair game. You go past them. OK, and here's a point too. Sometimes they measure your kid at the beginning when you first walk in, and then they'll measure again. Sometimes some rides, like I've had them do that in World at Alien Swirling Saucers. They measured our daughter twice. Goofy sky or not Goofy Sky School Barnstormer. No, not Barnstormer, but Gadget Coaster and Land. They, they measured one of our kids twice.

00:09:59So if it's the second one, if it is the second time they measure, then I would wait because you have been waiting in that line. They, you usually get up to the part where they are telling you row 123 or whatever and they'll be like, oh, wait, let me measure your kid then. But that one, I feel like the cast member would be kind of like, hang on, you know, there, you have to wait for the cast member there anyway. But yeah, 'cause some, some rides measure twice, especially if your kid is close, like if your kid is just 40 inches. So the second cast member wants to make sure because things could get skipped, you know, what if the first cast member missed you? What if there's a big crowd

00:10:42coming into the line and they kind of don't see that kid and that kids not tall enough, You know, I'm sure there could be liability there. So anyway, so that is what got me thinking. Hang on, I knew you'd like that one. Tik Tok's a funny place, so if you are listening to this podcast in your car, we are also live on TikTok. So if you like to watch this live, you can watch this live. Usually Sunday evenings, but we haven't been very regular. So you know, it's hard to know if we were going to do this or not. But if you're free on a Sunday evening and you're on TikTok, if we're recording that night, you can watch this live.

00:11:42Follow us there. Follow us on TikTok Dreaming of Disney podcasts? Then you'll know. Then you'll know. OK so here is another one I saw when I was searching that I have never done and I've never expected anyone else to do. Yes, every once in a while I've never expected anyone else to do this. Removing ears on a ride so others can see. I saw a post that someone was just like you need to remove your ears so that so that people can see around you. OK, it depends on what type of ride we're talking about here. Well, I mean, any ride that my ears might file fall off some they tell you, you know, it's like Splash Mountain take my

00:12:28ears off Space Mountain take the ears off. But like I don't when we're on like Mickey and Minnie's, I don't on, you know, small world pirates. I don't take the ears off. So I and I wouldn't be upset if the person in front of me had their ears on and I couldn't see past them. And I'm I'm even thinking with my kids and you know, I get mad at fireworks when. People block kids. When people will walk and come in like last minute and like stand in front of my like 4 year old. I don't like that. But and, and sometimes you're there and a kid comes behind you and there's nothing you can do. But I always try to be aware and

00:13:12like tell you to like Crouch down me, the kid, 4 year old's probably as tall as me. But like just be aware is just polite. Sometimes there's nothing you can do. But like, even even if someone in front of us knows there's nowhere they can go and they're blocking a kid, if they're like polite about it and just, I'm like, oh, I'm sorry. Like, that goes such a long way for me not to be irritated with them. But yeah, like I, I, I never thought that. So when I saw this person talking about, she was saying things that she believes or things that you should do in her opinion. And I was kind of like, no, I

00:13:50don't. I've never been like I wish this person would remove their ears because I am most likely wearing ears as. Well, you know, part that's like that's what you wear at Disney parks. And so, but I could see if like you're in an inside ride, like, you know, I'm trying to think of one Mickey's fill her magic. OK. Or like one of the shows, one of like a frozen ever after or a first time in forever. Progress or you're watching some type of. But you're on a slant, aren't you? In Carousel of Progress a little. Bit, yeah, you are a little bit, but.

00:14:31I mean, yeah, I, I. That was kind of like. I know I was kind of surprised when I saw that because I was like, they're everywhere, so you expect everyone. Yeah, and then the other rides, I mean some rides you have to take them off like, you know, Mickey, Minnie's, they make you take things off a rise. I usually wear mine on Mickey. And Minnie's, you know, Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, Space Mountain doesn't matter because you're in the dark, so. Yeah, yeah. But I take you don't want to lose them. I know. I was a little surprised when I saw one. OK this one was a friend OK on

00:15:01IG that that submitted this one. Saving a spot for the parade of fireworks with a blanket and then leaving. Yeah, I saw saw them say that. That one. Yeah. No, that's you have to be there sitting to claim that spot. You can't just leave something there and expect someone to, you know, honor that. It's like you're gone. It's up for grabs. Yeah, I agree. And I am usually the one waiting and I do put out a blanket because I am typically waiting while you take the kids on more rides. And so I alone, short person that I am, am saving a spot for six people for the parade that I do not mind.

00:15:52I I do not mind if someone else was like, oh, I'm saving this for my family. This is not, I'm not talking about lines, but for the parade, because if you want a good spot for the parade or the fireworks, you have to get there hours before, right? Like I mean randomly you might get a good spot. And yes my my experience is more in land. I have waited hours like more than two in a spot and I don't expect my 4 young children to sit there and wait for two hours. So we will put a blanket out and I will like sit saving a spot that. Doesn't bother me. If there's a person there. If you give any inch.

00:16:36The stress that I will. Feel will take, will take, you know, fill up that spot. The stress that I will feel in the last 2030 minutes when you are not back yet and people are crowding in on me and I'm like usually by that point I have one or two of the kids, but I will be texting you and be like you need to get your butt back here because they are crowding in on me. That one year where we were behind the the partner statue. And all. Oh my gosh. All those big. Group of like teenagers from they didn't speak English. I don't know where they Russian, I don't remember. No, they weren't Russian. They were.

00:17:13Argentina was that? Argentina and like everyone kept looking at them because they did not understand like personal space at all. Like they I was still sitting and we had our nephew who his first trip. Can't sit here, we. Can't sit here. They our first trip where we took our nephew, it rained and he didn't get to see any fireworks, anything. So we took him back and I think that was this trip, right? Yeah, it was. And so it was still far enough where like people were still sitting on the floor or on the ground and they literally would step in between like I have like my legs out, stepped in between my legs and stood and I'm like,

00:18:01like, and they, they did not, they were leaning on it wasn't our stroller because we didn't have our, our youngest with us. So we didn't have a stroller this trip. There was a person in front of us. They were leaning like full body leaning on this person's stroller in front of us. It was crazy. And. Never seen it like that. It, it was in this group of kids, it was insane. It was. We were. Almost as bad as the when we went to You know what? World. No, when we did, when Splash Mountain closed and we went to Magic Happens and the girl was

00:18:35she was recording video and going like this, like in front of your face. She. Crossed over my arm and the only thing that didn't make me mad about it, I posted a video about that a long time ago. But like, and people are like, Oh my gosh, I'd be so bad. The only thing is she was like a teenager and she was so happy. Like she honestly was doing it because she was like so excited to see the characters and she was really sweet. So while it was still a little like, OK sweetie, you're in my space, she was so excited to like, she was just genuinely like excited. And so like, she just wasn't think. I have a video I think we did a

00:19:15we did. AI made AI made a post about it and people were like, I would have slapped her to that. I'm like it. It was like she was crowding me, but at the same time she was just so cute that it was kind of like, you know, it was OK. OK, so it's. Round upon the stand between somebody's legs, Jamie. So yeah, I wouldn't leave our, like, stroller and blanket out to hold a spot and then leave. But if one person in your party is there, I am OK if they have a blanket out and they're saving a spot for their kids. Because again, I do not expect my young children to wait two hours when they really want to see the parade. Like they can go do stuff.

00:20:00Now, that is not meaning I'm not talking about lines, OK? Like Disney has a policy where you can't save a spot in lines like that. You can't say, OK, I'm going to get in line, this line's an hour. You guys go ride something and catch up with me. That's what Lightning is saying for. That is against Disney's policy. But I have seen where someone will lay out a blanket and it's like 6:00 in the and you know, and the fireworks or the parade aren't till like 9:00. Oh yeah, for. Fantasmic because Fantasmic and land it's, it's hard to get a good spot. Yeah, it's hard to get a good viewing area.

00:20:41And I feel like it's harder than it used to be because now they have a huge section that's for reserved for like the dinner dessert package. So it it's hard. But like even years ago, 20 years ago, when I would wait for Fantasmic for hours, I might stay and like my brother and sister would go ride a ride and then they'd come back and me and my sister would go ride a ride like we always had somebody waiting. But as far as lines go, like if your kid has to go to the bathroom and you get out and then you're like, hey, I need to like, you know, or there have been times where maybe we are getting in line and one of our kids is having a hard time and one of us has to stop and talk

00:21:25to them and then we have to catch up with you. That doesn't bother me. It's like I'm not going and having fun doing something else and then catching up with you after you've been waiting for an hour. But like. Yeah, there's just those times where like someone standing in front of you and then like a whole group, like, oh, we're with this person. Yeah. And they, they like jump. And it's like, it's one thing if it's like one person or like two people. But then I've had it happen to where it was like 5 or 6 people and like, whoa, wait up here. Yeah. And when it's like, OK, you were

00:21:56going and going on different rides and stuff, that's different than like, hey, your kid had to go to the bathroom or you know, that I'm like, OK, so kind of going along with that. This was another one I guess people get upset about. When you get up to the cast member, they ask you how many is in your party, and they say you have, you know, a bigger party, like 10, and they ask you to stand to the side. Yeah, apparently people will get upset with that feeling like they shouldn't let other people go ahead of them. Well, it's because they have to wait for the the there's a certain. Sequence, you know how much longer the wait would be if they didn't do the whole like, is

00:22:39there a party of two? Is there a party of three? You know how much longer everyone would be waiting if they didn't do that, if they didn't fill up the cars because you have a party of 10. So now they're waiting for to be able to seat you instead of filling in those other spots. The wait time would go way up. Yeah, well, I mean there's one. There's also, you know, there's a sequence that they have for the each. You know, if they're like say like Space Mountain, where there's how many, what, 8910, how many rows are there? I can't. Remember 246. I think there's eight, I think there's 8. 898, there's three in each, right?

00:23:20Yeah. Oh, no, no, no, there's two. There's two. Think about the pictures. Yeah, I think you're right. I think there's. I think there's 8. 123456. And this is land. We're. So I think there's six, there's 6 lines, yes, Rows one through 6, yes. And so there's 12. Yeah, well, I'm just thinking, I'm thinking of like, you know, telling like, oh, take row one, take row 2, whatever. But it's like, yeah, you have a party of 10. They and they may have, you know, you know, four people in 1-6 people and two. And so they have to wait until that everyone can fit inside of

00:23:59those queues. And so they have to wait, OK, step to the side, let these people go. That's, you know, party of 2GO in here. It's that it's filled and even and then they can go, you know, rows 12345 and 6 go. Yeah. And so I'm like, there's a, there's a. Sequence. If you have a big party and you want to be together, then you need to wait because it would throw everything off and there would be all these empty seats. I would hate to be that cast member where you're all because you're always doing the mental. Math they mental. Math always. Yeah, they must have to take a

00:24:34math test. If I had to take a math test when I applied to work at Payless Shoes, then I'm sure I was like, seriously? Maybe that's why I didn't get the job. I probably failed. But I remember there there's so many times where like you're at Space Mountain and the group of friends did say how many, how many in your party? And they say like 16. I'm. Like, well, hey, we've been there. We've been there. We've had a group of 12. Have we really? Yeah, my family and your family. We both. Had but still it's like, that's just, it's crazy.

00:25:13But OK, we have a friend, Millennial Mama. Hey, helpful information. Headed with a party of 13 in December. Our party of four will break away. Yeah. So I mean, we did it. We had. I want to say we were 12 or 13 with my family. Yeah. And. But as long as you're like now, we, we would separate at times. There's a lot of the bigger rides too, where at the time, this was a few years ago, three years ago, four years ago, you know, our youngest 2 couldn't ride the bigger ride. So then it wasn't as many and we would do rider swap.

00:25:49So the group that would go on the ride would only be like 8 and then we'd have another group of four or whatever it was. But then there were rides like Small World. I know we rode all together and we all fit in a boat, but we had to step aside until there was a boat where we could all fit in. Same thing with pirates. We all, we filled up the boat, but we had to step aside and wait. And then there were times where we did different things as a group, you know, our group would separate and do different things. But but they will have you stand some, you know, and we were totally OK with being separated, but there were certain ones we were like it would be fun to

00:26:22ride all together like Small World or Pirates. Those make sense because those rides can fit a lot of people, but when you're trying to get the whole group going, like on Space Mountain or you know, teacups, you know? Teacups You've never been on teacups you don't know what you're. Talking about teacups, I don't like teacups. When did you ever go? On It's been a very long time. OK OK, so this is 1 OK, not should OK arms of the air on rides do you think people should not put their arms up well if it's. Space Mountain. And you don't want to lose your arms? Then yeah, I keep them down.

00:27:02Oh, my arms are always up. I know I'm too scared to put my arms up. I always say at the very top, ease my put your hands in the air I put my arms up on. I have no problem putting arms up in the air. I, I'm personally, I'm scared on Space Mountain just because I'm tall and I've seen videos of it with the lights on and I see how close you come to those tracks and. Don't tell me I'm short though, so. I mean, I'm 61, so, you know, my arms are another, you know, 5 feet. Yeah, I don't want. To know so I don't want to lose my hands. Yeah, well, 'cause they're talking this, this post was

00:27:39talking about blocking people, and this is coming from someone. I'm sure I get blocked in a lot of pictures specifically. Guardians, Guardians, you can get Mike Wazowski. I've gotten Mark Mike Wazowski on guardians. So have all of our our one of our the only kids that's gone on it. I have Mike Wazowski kids and while I do feel bad, I am in the moment and I would I would never ask anyone to. Not if they're feeling like they want to put their arms in the air. In Guardians of the Galaxy, again, we're talking about land. Arms in the air, like just don't care. So mission breakout, do it like have fun because it's it's it

00:28:24makes a difference on that, that that ride. It makes a difference like arms up. And this is like our very last ride on Splash Mountain, last day of Splash Mountain in Disneyland. It was our last ride on Splash Mountain. I got Mike Wazowskied so. Bad. Oh yeah. And I knew I was because the guy in front of me was tall and I was like, if this guy puts his arms up, I'm done. Like, so whatever. Yes, it was my last ride on Splash Mountain. But the picture is funny now. I will say on Splash or on Tiana's, I now if I think there, if there's a kid behind me, I

00:29:04will try to just put my arms out again. I'm not. Out to the. Side out to the side. Sorry, yes, you can't see me on the podcast out to the side instead of up. I'll try to because I still I want to put my arms up. I I want to. It feels more fun. But on Tiana's I will try to kind of put my arms out to the side more If there's a kid behind me. Guardians, I have again mission breakout. I have held it in and just put my arms like by my face because it makes a difference on that ride. It makes a difference. You feel it more if your arms

00:29:36are up. If there's no one behind me, then I'm like, yeah, my arms are up, but I don't, I would never expect anyone. People have blocked me. People have blocked my kids. I have blocked people's kids. And usually if we're at the picture thing and we notice it, I'll say something. I'll be like, I'm so sorry. And they're like, oh, it's OK, you know, like it. But I would never expect anyone to like not put their arms up because just in case they block me or my kid, like have fun, whatever. Like, you know. Suddenly these people are a whole bunch of Karens, you know? It's just like you can't have fun.

00:30:12Don't put your arms in the air. Yeah, the. Kids getting measured don't skip me. Don't. Skip me I. Have a party of 20 I need I need to go right away. OK, this was another one there. Someone, someone was saying not to do this and OK, OK, they were talking about over talking on rides. So when you're on a ride like Pirates or Small World and having a group that is talking like about something different. Or some of the comments were saying like, oh, they were pointing out everything that was wrong, like every animatronic that wasn't working or they were criticizing every little thing and they were being really loud.

00:30:55And I'm like, yeah, that's annoying. I have been on it was funny because I was actually it was one of my solo trips and I was live streaming and I put my brightness down. I was on pirates. I put my brightness down. I had my camera in front of my chest because I didn't want to bother anybody. Yeah mm hmm. The the only time I didn't have it directly in front of my chest is probably when I was like taking my backpack off and like sitting like I probably moved my phone a little bit. But then once we were going, I like I turned, I turned my brightness down and I held my phone and I down low and the woman behind me said something

00:31:37like rude about me, then proceeded to have a full blown loud conversation about like her and her friends personal lives the entire ride. And I was kind of like, you're annoyed that I'm holding my phone in front of my body that you can't see, but you're not paying attention to the ride. Like you're sitting here talking about your date and like and like loudly. And that was a little annoying. That was a little. Annoying if if they're like laughing and having a good time about the ride then that's fine but I think it's the same as like talking to her movie which I hate. We went to go see me and the boys went to go see the new spider man movie a couple weeks

00:32:27ago and there was these kids sitting next to me. I think they're a brother and sister having full on conversation and I almost. Why are you here? Why are? You spending this much money on a movie to be quiet? I mean it was getting ridiculous. So something similar like that at a Disney ride I'd like. No, that's super annoying. That and having your flash on. Yes. When people take pictures with their flash on their phones, it's like. Like if it happens once, it might be an, it might be an accident. Like I've done it on accident. Yeah.

00:33:05And like it happens, right? Like but if it's. Even even with the like when they they turn their light on for like video, it's like that's not doing anything. There was one time you and I were there and we were watching Fantas. No, we were watching the fireworks, but at Rivers of America and this girl directly behind us, like over your shoulder. Yeah. Had her. She was recording and had her flash on. Yeah, the whole time. Girl, that's not doing anything. And we were like. It's not helping you like. What like that was annoying. That was annoying, but like if

00:33:36it happened, I try to like if it just happens once because I've I've done it on accident. Sometimes your phone like adjusts itself, you know, and the flash is on and you're like, but no, you did not Aaron. I don't think so, but as far as talking I haven't experienced it a whole lot. But that one I do remember being like 1. I it ruined the rest of my life. I felt like because she. Said they ruined the rest of your life. The rest of my life, I'm not. Afraid really bad. No, but like I was so because she said it very passive aggressively to her friend about me. Yeah. And I was like, and then

00:34:24proceeded to like just have a full blown very loud conversation about something different. And I was in such a bad mood after that. I remember, but I haven't experienced that a whole lot. But like rides like where, where could you experience that? Probably Pirates, Small World, Jungle Cruise. I guess you could experience that Jungle Cruise, but usually it's not something you're going to come. Across junior train, just I hate it when people talk on on Casey Junior. I'm like, guys, let me enjoy the ambiance of riding Casey Junior's train. When I'm when. I really want to hear that train

00:35:06chugging up that hill. If you're not a Lander. Oh, wait, yes, you did. Yes, you did send me these. Oh, you met Joe, right? That's his name, right? You met or You definitely showed me the John Stamos picture. I think I can. Yes, you did. You did send these to me, Aaron. I forgot. When I'm in that zoo cage going around that track, I want. To live like an animal. Don't you talk. Yes. I just think of him as the earring, the earring guy. OK, OK. All right, what's the next? One I think I only have like another, OK, we're OK. So this was one I just thought

00:36:01of which I don't know. I don't I don't know if this fits under the umbrella of what we're talking about really. But anyone who comes in to, if you've listened to the podcast, if you've come into the live, you know how I feel about this probably, and you know how I feel about this. But ponchos. What about them? On rights, I'm not in Florida because it's going to rain. I don't have a problem with that. On Small World, I'm small world. Small world. I don't want to get wet on small world. On Dumbo, no. On splash. On Grizzly River Run or Lane World, Cali river Rapids or

00:36:38Tiana's. I said splash again. Huh. Tiana's. I'm living in the past because some people think, you know, like you're here to experience the ride. If you don't want to get wet, don't go on the ride. And that ticks me off. Yeah, no, I think yeah, if you want to wear a poncho, you want don't want your hair to get wet. Or you just don't want to be soaked for the rest of the day. Those rides will get you completely soaked. Like I was saying earlier, before we started the podcast, just in the live, like last time you and I rode Tiana's, we were in rows one and two and water, and I was wearing a poncho.

00:37:17Water went over my head like a wave. Three times I would have looked like I jumped into a pool. But also what I feel very strongly about is there are people that have sensory issues and they don't like being wet. So does that mean that they shouldn't enjoy the ride? No, it doesn't. We have a son who hates being wet. It will ruin his day. Ruin. Do I need to block something? No, no, Jamie says. What about getting off the ride before the drop? Let's talk about this. But like, he likes Tianas, but he hates like, it will ruin his day. So he shouldn't be able to enjoy

00:38:03it because he's not really getting the full experience. Because if you don't want to get wet, you shouldn't go on the water, right? Like no, put on a stinking poncho. Well, if you don't like huge drops, then yeah, you shouldn't go on it. But like, we're a poncho, you know, you're paying money. Don't worry about what other people think. I only wash my hair once or twice a week. Yeah, that's gross. Gross. No, it's not. I have done my hair the day before we leave for our trip. We go on splash. Why do I keep saying splash? Tiana's the first day or Grizzly

00:38:38Run? River Run. I don't want to get my hair all soaked because it drives crazy and it's not pretty. We haven't taken our family picture in front of the castle yet, so I'm wearing a poncho and. Then you get sat in the front row and doesn't even matter. I did still get pretty wet, like, even with a poncho on, like I had a puddle and I was holding my poncho like, like a bowl and I had to like, dump the water out it. I would have been head to toe soaked. Yeah, your outfit's too cute to get wet, you know? But yeah, don't get out of the ride. I saw there was a post someone

00:39:24posted on IG. They were in the log behind this log. Apparently someone in the log in front of them had stood up somewhere throughout the ride. They stopped the log. Oh yeah, I've seen this. Did you see this? They stopped the log before it went up the big hill before you the drop and made that entire party get out. They got kicked out of the park, too. Yeah. You see that? There's a new sign now? Oh, I haven't seen. There's a new sign saying that you have to stay seated the entire ride. If not, then you risk getting thrown out of the park like it's

00:40:00warning. Oh Emma, what's our opinion on adults meeting characters? I'm all for it if you want to, that's fine and I will say that I have met characters when I don't have my kids and I have wanted to, but then felt silly, but I like why like when we we have a video of it. I'm at Pocahontas. I was so stinking good night bud love you. I was so stinking excited and I did. I felt like a kid like we didn't have our kids with us. So no judgement, no judgement. If you don't want to then you know, but I would say you know, don't judge others. I was there also was I by myself. I was live.

00:40:42You may have been with me. And Rapunzel walked behind me and I screamed like a little girl. I like looked behind me because I didn't know and I like looked around and like her and Flynn were like walking behind me and I got like really excited. Like whatever, you know, I don't care if there's if I'm waiting in line with my kids and there's. Groups. I will when we finish. Groups of adults in front. I'm not like, hey, let my kids go first. They want to meet that character like like the Peter Pan girl. Who's the Peter Pan girl? She stalked Peter Pan. I wouldn't stalk them. But like if if there are groups

00:41:21of like adjust adults in front of me and I have my kids, like I'm not like you should let me take my kids first. Like few days ago, I was still leaving that girl. Yes, see yes. Well, I I, I will give. I will give. AI have not heard about the Peter Pan lady. Hey. I lost my thought. I'm sorry I need to know about this though. What was I going to say? OK. I was saying something about when I saw Pocahontas or when I saw Tang Rapunzel, and I got really excited. Adults who go into like make fun of the the characters or. Yeah, no.

00:42:04Or they go to try to break their break, you know, have them break character. Oh yeah. No, no. So yeah, those those are lame. Don't do that. Yeah, no, don't do that. I will say when I was in line with our daughter, I don't know, I think it was last year, earlier this year, maybe waiting to meet Elsa, and that's a long line. There were two adult men behind us and they seemed like they were just waiting in line because we were in a building and it was air conditioned. And then I was kind of like, are you guys really going to take a picture with Elsa? I mean, cool, go for it. But like it did make me think,

00:42:45thank you for the ice cream cones. Like are you guys like, do you because you want to meet Elsa or to like make fun? They were also spouting out some Disney facts that were so wrong. And I was like, keep. I was like, the guy was trying to tell the other guy the differences between land and world and he was saying things that were so wrong. And I was like, he was like, yeah, they're building a monstropolis here in Disneyland. Yeah, they're building. And I was, like, keeping my mouth shut. But anyways, yeah, like, you want to meet. You want to get in line and meet a character? You're an adult.

00:43:21You go for it. You go for it. I've done it. Yeah. I was very excited to meet Pocahontas. Yes. Yes. And that's not cool. That's not cool. OK, So out of these. Is that all of them? That is all the ones I had. So what do you think was the most common? Most common? Like which one do you think people brought up the most when I asked? Brought up the most, read them off again, I already forgot. OK so we talked about when you the party in front of you has to stop to measure a child removing

00:43:59ears on a ride saving a spot for the fireworks or parade leaving a blanket and leaving saving a spot in line arms in the air on rides bigger party in line cast member makes them wait over talking on rides and punches I'm. Going to say saving a spot for fireworks slash parades. No, no. OK. It was line. Like like saving spots. Saving saving a spot in line. Lot of people said that one. If you want to save a spot in line, you got to pay Lightning Lane because that's what you're doing. Huh. When you buy Lightning Lane, you're essentially saving your spot in line for that time.

00:44:44OK. So that's that's yeah, but it allows you to save your spot in line for that time to be able to go do something else. OK, right. Got it. True. I get it. I get it. Yeah, yeah. OK. Yeah, that makes sense. Those were just a just a few that I found cool that was good. That was good. 'Cause it's been a hot minute yeah Well, I guess not. It was what D 23 was what, 2 weeks ago? So we, we did we did the podcast then yeah. But we haven't just done something that's not a recap or

00:45:21like in a while, so. We need to have some guests on. We haven't had some guests in a while. I know you know, Stephanie just went on the destiny. Oh yeah. Yeah. We need to, we need to start talking about cruises because. We want to start talking about cruises. We want to do a cruise in February, so that will be we do we want to do that on the wish before the wish goes to Europe later that year. You just got back from the destiny two. Oh my gosh, were you on with Stephanie? Do you follow Stephanie? Hello. We yes, we want it.

00:45:59We're we've never been on a Disney cruise. It is high, high on our list and I really want to go on the wish. So I want to go so bad. So we're really hoping we wanted to do it this year and we we weren't able to do it. So hopefully I'm, I'm, you know what? I'm just, we're just, we're just gonna do it. And like we were talking about earlier about how we made the smart financial decision and didn't go to Disneyland this weekend. I'm like, we're not making the smart financial decision. We're just gonna do it. It's actually not even that. It's the kids. It's finding someone to have the kids 'cause we wanna.

00:46:37Go just we're not taking the kids on this trip. I want to take them on a Disney Cruise, but for the first one we wanna go by ourselves. We we have, you know, some that you know, may have issues on the boat. So we want. To see how. Big of a issue that is. But also like our first trip to the world, it was new to us. It was new to them. It didn't go that well. Then you and I went ourselves. We got like more comfortable with the transportation and the parks. And then the next time we went and we brought the kids, it went so much better. Like we are like the, we have to be steady, right?

00:47:11We can't be all over the place and not knowing what's going on because then our kids get all like, you know, like we don't have super adventurous children. And so if we go on a cruise and we kind of know, 'cause we've never been on one. So like get the the lay. Of the. Land I I know it would go better and I'm not spending that much money to. To have it go the way I imagined. It would go, I want us, I want us to fly in early. We'll go do Epcot, do an Epcot Day Magic. Kingdom. We'll board the bus from the resort straight to Cape Canaveral. Or wherever, wherever.

00:47:52I don't know whatever port it comes. Out of. And then we just chill out on the boat with nothing to do. Oh my gosh, with. Unlimited food. Have you Queen? Unlimited soft serve. Hang on all Yeah, I. I'm we, we need to make it happen. So we need to start and if if you are thinking, what in the world are you thinking? February is not that far away. We. Have to book it a little different way. I don't think the wish is character coffee Character coffee court. What is character coffee? What is character coffee court

00:48:37is like the she's the Disney Cruise queen. She just mentioned that she just got plant. Platinum level. Disney Cruise Platinum level. Nice. I don't even really know what that means, but I'm impressed. No, I know. It's like a like. I know a little bit about. It, but not that much. They will put characters on your coffee. OK, We, we is, we need to go. So 'cause I know you usually book cruises, like way out, right? But the way Tim has to book it because of his job, I get a pretty mad discount, yo. We don't brag. We've never been on one, so it's

00:49:16kind of embarrassing. We have to do it last minute and so Club 33 at sea this better. Live up too. Spooky. Red Wait, where's your sound? Spooky Red is the Guardian. Of the Galaxy. Always, Francine. Hey, friend. So it makes it a little tricky because we have to get child care that can be available somewhat last minute for like a week. Yeah, You know, And we've got like. A buttload of. Kids. So we do. So thank you for the Rose. So anyways, but we need to make it happen. Also, I want to mention real

00:50:02quick because I don't think we've mentioned on the podcast or just on the live. I have to be careful with how I say it because I am still live on TikTok, but we do have some new merch. Oh yeah. There should be in we. Have a we? Have. A a brand? Well, no, we already talked about that on the podcast. Yeah, yeah, we have. So our main. St. Dreamers community we now. Have Main St. Dreamers and but you just you did a new design. Oh yes, meet me on main. Street, yes. We got whole collection we.

00:50:35Got shirts I'm working on, sweaters we got. We got mugs, we got phone cases, we got desserts, we got apps. We got apps. Treat yourself. Treat yourself. We've got. No. I don't know, I'll just, well, the reason we couldn't.

00:52:02Make. Because if we're selling merch, we can't. Use Disney. And so our podcast. Dreaming of. Disney and then when we. Started TikTok. Our fan club Main St. Dreamers. I get that that's a little confusing, but. I don't know. I don't know. We'll figure it out. I. Don't know. But we should probably. Wrap. This up. Good job babe, it's a good episode. That's fun, thanks. Maybe we'll come up with some

00:52:34other idea. So yeah, you can follow us. Here on TikTok, I was about to say mainstream dreamers dreaming of Disney podcast. We're also on IG dreaming dot of dot Disney dot podcast.
